Improvements 

Provider Search Filters 

We’ve updated the Provider Search Filter so that only authorised users can access more than one Provider dataset on environments with multiple provider dropdowns. 

This ensures that search results only display relevant results to the user. 

We’ve implemented this change within the Enrolment List and New Enrolment Wizard which will also be extended to all other list pages within Plus.

Saved Filters – naming your filters is now easier 

Previously when saving filters, validation on the name used was restrictive.  

  1. It is now possible for different users in the system to use the same filter name.  
  2. It is now possible for a user to reuse the same filter name on different pages.  

When saving a new filter, the name uniqueness validation now only checks for the current user and current page.

New filters added to the Smart Fees Library 

“Start Date” and “End Date” filters are now available on the Smart Fees Library page.

API Changes

/webservices/attendees 

event_id of the related Event has been added to the returns for GET /webservices/attendees to simplify the ability to get related data. 

/webservices/trainers 

The Trainer API (/webservices/trainers) has had several modifications to improve the usability and functionality of the API set. The behaviours of the created-on and updated-on URL parameters and responses for GET calls has been modified to now return the values from the Trainer object and not the Party record. This has been done as previously changes to a Trainers status would not be picked up using those filters but unrelated changes to the Party record would.

WA Fee Exemption Codes 

We have updated WA Fee Exemption codes to match the latest TAMS Electronic Reporting specifications.

Award Reporting 

We have implemented a change in the AVETMISS reporting process to ensure any awards created for an enrolment after the AVETMISS reporting year end and where all of the associated units were completed in a prior year will now be reported.

Work placements reporting

There are some changes to how this previously worked, and these will need to be noted: 

  • Prior to 2022 the Workplace ABN field on the enrolment could be completed and this would be reported against each individual unit in the Program. That functionality still exists and will continue to be the default behaviour whenever a Workplace ABN is recorded on the Enrolment even for enrolments beyond 2021. Note the requirement is that it be a valid ABN and this check is not performed in the software. 
  • From 2022, it is now a requirement that individual units can have a Workplace ABN reported against them if there was a requirement for the Unit to have either Workplace based delivery OR a unit that requires a Work Placement. These can now be added at the unit level (when viewing/editing Advanced unit data for Vic enrolments).  

If you want to report a Program based placement, you will need to use the special Skills Victoria PRAC000001 or PRAC000002 units which will need to be set up in your system. You can add these to any enrolment using Add Additional Units from the Unit Electives page on the enrolment. Add the ABN to that unit as required noting the Outcomes must be one of 70,81,82 or 85. Unless there has been workplace-based delivery, or a placement requirement on the Unit, all other unit Workplace ABN fields and the Enrolment Workplace ABN fields should be blank. 

Skills Victoria have advised that if the program requires placement and you are reporting either of the PRAC000001 or PRAC000002 units, you don’t also need to report that same placement at the unit of competency as well, where a unit also requires placement. 

If the unit placement was at a different employer, specify that placement separately.  

Note: if you don't want an Enrolment Workplace ABN to be reported for units without an ABN recorded, please remove the Workplace ABN from the enrolment.

FIXED 

22406 – We've fixed an issue with the Cancel button on the Smart Fees Invoicing page where it was incorrectly triggering a Save action. 

22327 – We’ve removed the trash icons on the Program list page. Previously this button would take the user to the Program view page instead of doing the expected action of deleting the record. Once a Program is created it is currently not possible to delete, users should disable the Program instead. 

21235 - We have resolved an issue that could cause duplicated documents to be created when multi clicking Create. 

21885 - We have resolved an issue that could cause duplicated Course Applications being created when multi clicking Create. 

22702 - All functionality within the student portal relating to ConnectCV has been removed as this service is no longer provided by the third-party provider. 

19279 - We have fixed an issue that could allow Basic Trainer roles to see other student records and potentially edit Feedback forms. 

19521 - We have resolved an issue on edit a unit of study where the user was being directed to a view page instead of an edit page in certain circumstances. 

20943 - You can now apply filtering to both Active and Inactive placements from the Placements page, under the Services banner without losing original search criteria. 

21525 - An issue where the incorrect employer contact details were displayed when more than one Employer was selected in the enrolment wizard has been corrected. 

22541 - There was an issue with the Assignee column of the task list, not properly exporting to a CSV. This has now been resolved. 

22639 - We have fixed an issue that was causing users to be unable to update enrolment unit fees. 

22718 - We have resolved an issue where certain reports were encountering an error 500 when being run. 

22746 - We have resolved an issue with a link for students from course applications resolving to the wrong address, these will now revert to the Student Dashboard when the student is logged into the Student Portal. 

22764 - We have implemented some changes to improve the accuracy of date-based reports to better account for time zones. 

22789 - We have resolved an issue that prevented a Contract being applied to selected enrolments when using the bulk updater within a course.
