Surveys are a useful feature within our software that allows you to gather valuable information about student experiences while studying. In this article, we will cover how to set up a survey and distribute it to students.

Creating a New Survey Form
Navigate to Administration → Forms → Survey Forms.
Click on the New button to create a new survey form.
Fill in the required details for the survey form.
- Name: Provide a name for the survey form.
- Location: Location for the survey, configure locations at Administration → Lookups → Locations/Facilities.
- Branding: Branding for the survey, configure brandings at Administration → Configuration → Branding.
- Enabled: Sets whether the survey form is enabled.
- Snippets: You can enter HTML code here to modify the survey form page, only recommended for advanced users.
Once all details are entered, click Save.
To build the actual form page that the students will see, click on the Form Builder button.

Setting Up the Survey
Go to Communications → Feedback → Surveys.
Click on the + New button.
Fill in the required details for the survey.
- Name: Specify a name for the survey.
- Target: Specify a target for the survey.
- Type: The type for the survey. Configure survey types at Administration → Lookups → Reference Data.
- Form: Select the desired form from those created in Administration → Forms → Survey Forms.
- URL: This is the link to the survey, which you'll send to the student.
- Start Date/End Date: Define the survey duration by entering dates into these two fields.
- Allow Saving: Enable students to save and return to the survey later.
- Save Expires After: Set the number of hours after which saved surveys are deleted.
- Status: The current status of the survey, setting this to Closed or Disabled will prevent anyone with a link from accessing the survey.
Click Save after entering all settings.
Once the survey is set up, you can send the survey link to students.
A convenient method is to include the link in an email template. For information on creating an email template, refer to this article.
Viewing Survey Responses
Note
Survey responses are intended to be anonymous and will not be linked to student profiles within the system.
Navigate to Communications → Feedback → Surveys.
Select the desired survey and click on the Responses tab.
Here, you can view all responses to the survey.
